Training

Purpose: The neurodiversity initiative provides training opportunities to promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of students, faculty, and staff in our university community who are neurodivergent.

  • “Defining Neurodivergence,” a one-hour presentation to introduce neurodivergence and its characteristics.
  • “Blue Zone” training provides faculty and staff with comprehensive training on specific strategies to effectively work with and support neurodivergent students.
  • The "UNT Neurodiversity Training” for faculty and staff is available through UNT Bridge.
  • Invited Speaker Series, a distinguished speaker in neurodiversity invited to speak annually to the UNT community. Prior speakers include Dr. Margaret Price of Ohio State University and John Elder Robinson, faculty at William and Mary College and Landmark College.
