Purpose: The neurodiversity initiative provides training opportunities to promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of students, faculty, and staff in our university community who are neurodivergent.
Our 3 training initiatives are:
- “Defining Neurodivergence,” a one-hour presentation to introduce neurodivergence and its characteristics.
- “Blue Zone” training provides faculty and staff with comprehensive training on specific strategies to effectively work with and support neurodivergent students.
- The UNT Neurodiversity Training” is available through UNT Bridge at https://unt.bridgeapp.com/learner/courses/4b2a353f/enroll
- Invited Speaker Series, a distinguished speaker in neurodiversity invited to speak annually to the UNT community. Prior speakers include Dr. Margaret Price of Ohio State University and John Elder Robinson, faculty at William and Mary College and Landmark College.
